Leslie Cheung Kok-Wing (September 12, 1956 – April 1, 2003), nicknamed elder brother (哥哥), as an actor and musician from Hong Kong. Cheung as considered as “One of the founding fathers of Canop,“ and “bining a hugely suessful film and music career“. Early career In 1977, Cheung on second prize by singing Don McLean’s “American Pie“ at the Asian Music Contest held by Rediffusion Television (RTV). He signed a contract ith RTV, hich subsequently became Asia Television Limited (ATV) and began his career in the entertainment industry. He also signed a music contract ith Polydor Records, releasing Day Dreaming (1977) and Lover’s Arro (1979). The early days of his career ere not easy. He as once booed off the stage during a public performance, and his first to albums ere not eled by the public. He left Polydor Records at the end of his contract. 早年经历

1956年9月12日，张国荣在香港出生，原名张发宗，祖籍广东梅县，家中十个孩子中最小，故有“十仔”之乳名。张国荣的父亲是香港洋服店的裁缝兼老板张活海。1969年，张国荣独自赴英国留学；中学毕业后，爱好时装设计的他考入利兹大学就读纺织专业。大学一年级时，父亲突然中风，张国荣返回香港，学业就此中断。
